A Snowy Winter Brooklyn Paradise

I wanted to show you what us Brooklynites do at the weekend when snow is solid on the ground.  Hit the slopes!!  Well, kind of.  We head to a local beauty spot Fort Green Park for sledging.  Its not quite St. Moritz but good enough for us.

Also this weekend our friend  and neighbor Shane built this amazing igloo in the garden for the kids or possibly maybe just for the men folk.  We are very lucky to have 4 families with connecting gardens so all the children can play together  in a safe environment.

No School in New York!

So I woke up at 4 am this morning to this!!

My daughters wish had come true!

There have only been 8 no school days in NYC in 40 years & this was one!

Unfortunately next door neighbors tree fell across our stoop with the weight of the snow. So thankful 

for friendly neighbors & hubbie to clear the mess.
